Rioja wine

As regards table wines, Rioja Alavesa is the most recognised brand in the state, as for the aging and crianza, even at a worldwide level. Endless Alava wineries offer tours and traditional menus for groups: potatoes with highly-seasoned pork sausage and T-bone steak in wine shoot. However, the cider house menu consists of cod omelette and charcoal-grilled T-bone steak with cider, which can be tasted directly from the barrels from mid-January to mid-April. Those who prefer white wine should not miss the famous txakoli wine at the popular txakoli wineries.
